2021 Uncommitted Showcase Award Winners

Over 40 players (and parents) braved the snow and cold to attend the first annual Fastpitch Northwest Uncommitted Showcase Dec 27-29 at the NW Sports Hub in Centralia, WA.

The players went through a rigorous series of athletic and skills testing on day one followed by four competitive games over the next two days. All of the testing scores and stats together with skill videos will be posted on our new Player Scouting Report at: https://www.fastpitchnw.com/uncommitted-showcase-2021-2

At the conclusion of the event, two players from the class of 2022 were awarded $500 scholarships to be used towards tuition at the college of their choice. In addition to the scholarship awards, an MVP from the class of 2023 was selected and will receive complimentary entry to one of the 2022 Prospect Evaluation Camps and an invitation to next summer's NW Championships Exposure Tournament.

The Tom Mauldin and Ken Olson Scholarships are awarded to deserving players in the 2022 grad class . These scholarships are made in honor and recognition of the many years Tom and Ken have devoted to Fastpitch Northwest and helping fastpitch players in our region achieve their goals of advancing to the Next Level of academics and competition.

Tom Mauldin $500 Scholarship Award Winner:

McKenna Christensen • RHP/3B • Class of 2022 • Hermiston HS, Hermiston, OR.

McKenna was highly nominated by her coach for showing exemplary characteristics of a teammate. Clearly thinks of others. She also rose to the occasion when asked to play positions she doesn’t normally play - had a great catch in right field. McKenna Intends to study pre-medicine in college.

Ken Olson $500 Scholarship Award Winner:

Kailey Cramer • 3B/SS • Class of 2022 • Post Falls HS, Post Falls, ID.

Kailey made several stellar plays at shortstop, second base, and wherever else she had the opportunity to play. She went above and beyond for her teammates at the showcase and was named a game MVP. Kailey Intends to major in business/marketing.

Class of 2023 Award Winner:

Carolina "Lina" Delgado • 3B/2B • Class of 2023 • West Seattle HS, Seattle, WA. "Lina" was nominated by coaches and teammates. she stepped up for teammates who were staying after,had multiple game-changing hits and plays at the showcase, and was twice named game MVP. Carolina Intends to major in criminal justice or criminology.
